The majority of these forms have been achieved via a glass 'slumping' process when heated in the kiln. This requires sheet or blocks of glass which are laid over or placed into a refractory or heat resistant mold. When heated in the kiln the glass will 'slump' into the mold taking on its form. Colour and pattern is applied to the surface or the glass prior to the firing. |
